Bridging the Long Island Library Community |
Registration is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Some courses may require an equipment charge.
To receive a student rate, students must be working towards a MLS Degree. If the payment is made by an institution, the full nonmember rate must be applied.
Librarians with a retired librarian membership can register for free for all classes depending on the availability. Priority will be given to staff from member libraries.
LILRC reserves the right to cancel workshops and programs. Typical reasons for cancellation include insufficient enrollment, the withdrawal of the instructor, or inability to schedule appropriate instructional space. If you are registered in a program that is cancelled, LILRC will notify you by email. Refunds will only be issued to the original form of payment.
Please notify LILRC at least three (3) full business days prior to a scheduled workshop if you can not attend. Some hands on workshops have a limited number of seats available. For members, we reserve the right to invoice the member libraries at the student rate for no shows of free registrations. Non-members must notify LILRC at least three (3) full business days prior to a scheduled workshop to be eligible for a full refund. No refunds or credits can be given after this deadline. Refunds cannot be made for no shows. If you are unable to attend a workshop, you may choose to send another person in your place without penalty. Please contact LILRC at (631) 675-1570 with questions/concerns.
Continuing Education Certificates are emailed upon completion of program.
