This course will focus on using art materials and the creative process to help people explore emotions, build self-esteem, reduce anxiety, develop coping skills, and connect with themselves. By using creative techniques such as painting, drawing, sculpture and writing with your participants, they can better express themselves to foster healing and mental well-being. When creating art, people are able to focus on their own perceptions and imagination to gain personal insight and develop new ways of coping with life’s stressors. No special talent or artistic ability is required, and the creative process is beneficial for people of all ages.
