Virtual Meetup: Virtual Library Services and Workflow Changes

Library buildings were temporarily closed since mid March for most of the libraries, library staff acted quickly to make more library services available online so the library users can still have access to the library resources and library programs remotely from home. The library users can ask a librarian questions by live chat/email, join an online book club, attend a live cooking, exercise or meditation class, etc. Library staff are using multiple platforms such as Zoom, Facebook and YouTube to provide updates and deliver virtual programs and activities to users. All these transitions require library staff to change routines and workflows. Please come to hear from our panelists on how they were able to adapt to the changes and redesign their workflow to efficiently and effectively provide virtual library services.
