A little more than half of the US population listens to podcasts, and that number continues to grow.  As libraries evolve, many are shifting from content providers to content creators.  Adding value to your library’s resources through a podcast will provide your library the opportunity to market your services and connect with your patrons. Join the podcasters at Middle Country Public Library as they discuss the ways you can create an educational and entertaining podcast.

Topics covered will include:

  • Learning how to plan, organize, and implement your library’s podcast and present your proposal to your library’s administration
  • Deciding what equipment and resources are required for the tone and scope of your library’s podcast
  • Gaining the knowledge you will need to market your podcast successfully to your patrons through social networking, print, and patron engagement

Presenter: Sal DiVincenzo, Information Specialist, Miller Business Center, Middle Country Public Library;  Sara Fade, Adult Services Librarian, Middle Country Public Library;  Nicole Rambo, Youth Services Librarian, Middle Country Public Library

A certificate for 2 Professional Development Hours (.2 CEU's) will be emailed after the workshop.
