Libraries in Business: The Essentials of Cash Management

This training session will be presented by Patricia Mezeul, EVP & Director of Government Banking at Flushing Bank. Patricia has been in banking for over thirty years.  She worked for NatWest/Fleet Bank in Melville and Commerce Bank for many years holding senior positions before she joined Flushing Bank in 2008.  The session will focus on the Essentials of Cash Management including a review of pertinent laws, policies and procedures (with examples), provide a general overview of the economy and banking regulatory environment, review of allowable collateral options with key elements of each option, review of different banking models as they relate to operating accounts, how to evaluate request for proposals for banking services and a  review of investment options available to libraries.

Who should attend?
Business Managers, Executive Directors and Library Board Members.

A certificate for 1.5 Professional Development Hours (.15 CEU's) will be emailed after the workshop.
