LILRC is working cooperatively with its member libraries and library systems to develop and implement a fully accessible Virtual Library system, which will link catalogs, files, and databases containing digital and electronic records. The Virtual Library currently consists of "LILCat: Long Island Library Catalog" (OCLC WorldCat-based regional union list of serials and union catalog) and "Long Island Memories: LILRC Digitization Program." These programs and projects are furthering our mission to promote, develop and enhance resource sharing for the benefit of the diverse libraries and their clientele in Nassau and Suffolk counties in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
