In an effort to increase access to the technologies needed to both produce and display multimedia content, LILRC lends the following equipment out to member libraries on a first come, first serve basis: two Amazon Kindle (2nd generation) eBook readers, three Apple iPads (3rd generation), two digital video cameras, a digital voice recorder, and a Nintendo Wii Console and Wii Fit are all available for loan.

Questions & Answers
Question: Who can participate in the Equipment Loan Program?
Answer: The LILRC Equipment Loan Program is available to all library staff in Nassau and Suffolk counties. Priority in loaning will be given to staff of LILRC member libraries.
Question: What can the equipment be used for?
Answer: Just about anything you can think of! However, please note that equipment borrowed from LILRC is not intended to be circulated to library patrons. Here are some examples of how our equipment is being used:
- Individual staff testing
- Staff training within the library
- “Petting zoo” within the library
- Gaming events at the library
Please keep in mind that whomever signs the Equipment Loan Form is personally responsible for the items loaned by the Long Island Library Resources Council.
