Summer Vendor Demo: VR in Libraries

July 27 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Virtual Reality (VR) was identified by the American Library Association as one of the 10 top library technology trends for the future.

VARLibraries is set up as a clearinghouse for libraries to share best practices in the installation and use of virtual and augmented reality technologies in libraries. They have a team of professionals familiar with transformational technology change and forging partnerships with the emerging technology and content providers for this exciting new computing platform of Virtual and Augment Reality.

VARLibraries is the project coordinator for the California Virtual Reality Experience. John MacLeod, the Executive Director of VARLibraries, will discuss how the rollout in California is going, why Virtual and Augmented Reality will transform the way we learn and communicate over the next decade and why libraries are the perfect place for the community to be involved in shaping this emerging media field.

This is a FREE event but registration is required.  Please register online at https://2017summer.eventbrite.com.
